4" - 6" Lift System

The front differential assembly is also lowered to keep CV axle angles in check. This is accomplished by using two, one-piece tubular cross members that span from framerail-to-frame rail. Superlift's new control arm brackets connect to these cross-members along with "kicker" braces to form an exceptionally strong assembly. The truck steers via a new "dropped" centerlink that keeps the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. Two greasable stabilizing links regulate centerlink movement and reduce the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms. Replacement DOT approved factory style (rubber) front brake hoses are included to ensure adequate length and proper routing.

The most popular rear lift height is 4" via blocks, although different height blocks, add-a-leafs or replacement rear springs are available.

Shock options include: Superide, Superide Select Series (SS) high-pressure monotube gas-charged shocks produced for Superlift by Bilstein, or SSR remote reservoir gas monotube shocks.

Application Notes

  • 1997 and newer models with Autotrac require dual cardan driveshaft, shown in options. Non-Autotrac models may also need driveshaft if regularly driven in 4WD over 35 MPH.
  • With single exhaust, a new, reformed section of exhaust crossover pipe is required to clear front driveshaft.
  • Special puller tool is recommended to load / unload torsion bars.
  • Front brake hose(s) included in kit box.
  • 34000 needed only if vehicle has 4.56 or lower (numerically higher) axle ratio, corrects ABS signal.
  • Also fits 1999 classic models (old body style).
  • Purchase of rear spring option #01-364 requires a quantity of 2

More Information

4½ to 6½ Lift System

Superlift’s Bracket lift method, first developed in 1988, is still known as the GM system to have. Lowering the factory upper and lower control arms in relation to the frame brings ride height up. By utilizing the factory control arms and torsion bars, we are able to retain stock alignment geometry and ride quality. Note that most models offer a 1½ to 2½ front lift height adjustment range; ride height is determined by torsion bar adjustment.

For pickups, the most popular rear lift method is via blocks, although different height blocks, add-a-leafs and Superide replacement rear springs are available for most applications. New rear coil springs, plus all necessary brackets and hardware, are included in SUV systems.

Shock options include: Superide, Superide Select Series (SS) high-pressure monotube gas-charged shocks produced for Superlift by Bilstein, or SSR remote reservoir gas monotube shocks.

Main Features

• Retains factory ride quality, steering geometry and CV axle angles
• Front track width not increased
• Front has a 2½ (approx.) height adjustment range
• Full-width differential / control arm crossmembers provide lateral rigidity
• Crossmember kicker braces add strength front-to-rear
• Load bearing bracketry made of .25½ thick plate steel or DOM tubing
• Front differential housing does not require trimming
• Dropped centerlink restores proper steering linkage geometry
• Centerlink stabilizing link makes steering more responsive and extends pitman / idler arm life; some applications feature dual links
• Steel skid plate protects front differential; brushed stainless steel plate with “flame" logo available
• Includes either replacement front rubber brake hoses (DOT approved) or hose relocation brackets; refer to Kit Box Breakdown at superlift.com
• Your choice of three different performance shock options: Superlift® Superide, Superide Select (SS) by Bilstein or Select Series with remote reservoir (SSR)
• TruSpeed speed sensor calibrator available
Limited Lifetime Warranty

Do I need a replacement driveshaft?
Yes, if your vehicle has the Autotrac transfer case option (the push button full-time 4WD feature). A replacement front driveshaft is available from Superlift®. On vehicles with standard transfer case (non-Autotrac), front driveshaft replacement is not necessary unless the vehicle is regularly operated in 4WD at speeds over 35 MPH.
