These trucks have a 2-piece Twin Traction Beam (TTB) front axle with leaf springs.  Superide leaf springs provide the lift, and replacement axle pivot brackets lower the inboard ends of the axle beams and restore camber.  The axle brackets, laser-cut from .25˝ steel plate, are cross-braced for additional strength.  Rear lift options can include blocks (with or without add-a-leafs) or Superide replacement leafs; not all rear lift methods are offerd for every year model. Note that new camber alignment bushings, available from your Ford dealer or local alignment shop, may be needed to precisely “dial-in˝ camber angle.

Both 4˝ and 6˝ lifts include a dropped pitman arm.  The Superunner Steering System upgrade is included with our 6˝ lift, and offered separately for the 4˝ lift.  This award-winning replacement steering linkage kit was first designed by Superlift years ago for ½ ton TTB Fords.  It reduces linkage angle, and keeps the tie-rods’ arc of travel in phase with the axle halves’ arc of travel.  The result is a lifted truck that, in most cases, steers noticably better than a stock vehicle!  The Superunner system should be compatible with most other name brand 4˝ and 6˝ lift systems.  New Superide shock absorbers complete the system.
