Drag Link Angle Correction
|
Overview
Pitman Arms, GM Steering Arm, Steering Blocks
These products are designed to decrease drag link angle. Excessive link angle can produce erratic handling characteristics similar to those associated with improper caster angle (darting and wandering). Extreme angle can cause the drag link end studs to bind and fail. It is crucial that the amount of correction (angle decrease), does not exceed the amount of lift height or steering linkage contact / bind will occur during suspension compression.
Adjustable Drag Links
The drag link is the steering linkage rod that connects to a pitman arm on the upper end, and a tie rod or knuckle on the lower end. Adjustable links have a threaded center coupler or threaded rod ends that allow you adjust the link (make it longer) to equal left / right turning radius and "center" the steering wheel. We offer adjustable links with and without "drop". Dropped drag links have a curved body that decreases link-to-attachment point angles.
