tire/wheel recommendations
The mid-size suspension is basically an enlarged version of the full-size: upper and lower control arms with torsion bars. This system fits all 1983-98 models and does not require replacement torsion bars. We have found that factory bars, both regular and heavy-duty, will handle basically all off-road situations and yield a superior ride compared to most heavier rated aftermarket bars. Remember that heavier bars will not necessarily lift a vehicle more, but they do always firm-up the ride.
