The JK 4-link suspension design is much like that of its predecessor, the Wrangler TJ series.
Both Wranglers utilize track bars to locate each axle left-to-right, and four-link arms to locate the axles front-to-rear. The primary
difference is the JK's longer factory link-arms. Black Diamond offers a 2" coil spacer lift, and a 3" replacement spring system
that features vehicle-specific coils for 2 and 4-door models.

2" Black Diamond® Lift System
Thicker coil spring isolators replace the factory isolators installed on top of the stock coil springs. By retaining the factory springs you are assured of factory ride quality, and a true 2" of lift. The various new JK models are offered with 22 different coil spring rates, dictated by how they are equipped from the factory, meaning there are slight variations in ride quality and lift height when replacement springs are used. New compression travel-stop spacers are included. Replacement shocks are not required, although new Black Diamond AT Series shocks improve control plus allow an additional 2" of extension travel.
Check the Options Listing that includes Rockrunner swivel link-arms and sway bar quick disconnects (for maximum articulation), a replacement steering stabilizer, diff cover protectors and more.

3" Black Diamond® Lift System
The JK family uses 22 different factory coil springs, each with a slightly different rate, dictated by how the JK is equipped. New Black Diamond front / rear coils provide the lift. The largest jump in spring rate is from the 2 to 4-door model so we offer a heavier rated rear spring for the 4-door. Lift height can vary slightly (plus / minus up to 3/8") depending on your factory spring rate.
As the JK is raised, track bar angle increases and when lift height exceeds 2" bar length becomes an issue. Bar bind causes the chassis and axle to continuously "tug" against each other resulting in uneven ride height (side-to-side), chassis / frame misalignment and "roll and yaw". Front correction is accomplished via a new adjustable track bar. This route is preferred, as opposed to using a relocation bracket, since the bar's arc-of-travel must remain in-sync with the drag link's arc-of-travel or steering wheel "kick" will result. A relocation bracket is used on the rear axle since there are no steering geometry issues.
The stock JK has no provisions for front caster angle realignment, which is required at this lift height, so Black Diamond provides new alignment cams. Compression travel is controlled via new Urethane stops while new AT Series shocks improve control and restore full extension travel. The lift system also includes longer sway bar links with factory style, greasable tie-rod type upper ends, front / rear brake hose relocation brackets and emergency brake cable brackets... nothing is left unattended.
Superlift options include upper and lower Rockrunner series axle-to-frame link-arms, constructed of .188" wall thickness DOM tubing, for increased articulation. Urethane link eye bushings at the axle improve control while steel-encased rubber bushings at the frame ends prevent noise and vibration transfer. Other options include front sway bar quick disconnects, a replacement steering stabilizer, diff cover protectors and more.
