The CJ was replaced with the YJ Wrangler in 1987. It was still a leaf-sprung vehicle, but front and rear track bars, long with a front anti-sway bar were added to enhance vehicle stability.
The base YJ system also includes a complete U-bolt kit with self-locking hardware, transfer case lowering kit, longer front anti-sway bar links, hardware to relocate the front and rear track bars, compression travel-stops, and brake hose relocation brackets. Our dropped pitman arm is recommended to reduce steering linkage angles. We also offer steering stabilizers, 1", 2" and 3" body lifts, add-a-leaf kits, extended-length Department of Transportation (DOT) approved rubber brake hoses, front anti-sway bar quick disconnects, numerous replacement polyurethane bushing kits and AT Shock Absorbers.

1.5" Black Diamond® Lift System
The 1.5" lift consists of replacement springs with tapered leafs and polyurethane eye bushings, and a complete U-bolt kit.
Transfer case is lowered slightly to reduce driveline angles
Longer front anti-sway bar links maintain factory geometry
Compression travel-stops prevent component damage
Replacement U-bolts with self-locking hardware included
Front and rear track bar relocation brackets correct axle position and improve handling characteristics
Brake hose relocation brackets for front and rear
Allows use of up to 33" diameter tires
Extended length DOT approved rubber brake hoses available
Optional front anti-sway bar quick disconnects utilize dual pin design to make disconnecting and reconnecting a breeze

3.5" Black Diamond® Lift System
The 3.5" system is more involved. First, the 3.5" leaf springs feature the same "no compromise" design elements of our CJ leafs... Tapered leaf plates, anti-friction pads, and light spring rates combine to give you full suspension articulation and unbeatable ride quality. Also, double wrapped spring eyes (military wraps) enhance durability and safety. Shot-peening and the use of flat seats reduce spring stress, which increases spring life. Polyurethane spring eye bushings are included as well.
