The performance of a dedicated, hard-core off-road machine with the manners of a "daily driver"... Superlift just made it possible.
Making a suspension that articulates well while crawling along relatively flat terrain is easy enough, but designing a system that
handily conquers all terrain types, handles well at speed (on-road or off), is noise-free, installer-friendly and durable is something
else... Superlift introduces the Black Diamond X2 system.

7" Lift System (X2)
The performance of a dedicated, hard-core off-road machine with the manners of a "daily driver"... Superlift just made it possible.
Making a suspension that articulates well while crawling along relatively flat terrain is easy enough, but designing a system that
handily conquers all terrain types, handles well at speed (on-road or off), is noise-free, installer-friendly and durable is something
else... Superlift introduces the Black Diamond X2 system.
With 37" tires and stock width axles, the X2 provides a stunning *14" of overall front wheel travel and *12.75" at the rear. With 9"
wide wheels you can literally stuff 37" rubber into the fenderwells without a body lift. Got horsepower and a penchant for huge tires?
No problem; the X2 will not be your Jeep's "weak link". Different axle bracketry is offered to fit all popular axle housing conversions,
plus the X2 is rugged enough to handle basically all the tire size and horsepower you desire for your particular build.
*
X2 system installation requires extensive cutting and welding, and the ability to precisely measure and properly locate numerous
components. Black Diamond strongly recommends that the installation only be performed by a professional mechanic. If you have any
concerns as to your installer's ability to tackle this complex project, call Black Diamond for an installation booklet and video.
X2 Tech
Generally, coil springs and / or coilover shocks offer increased suspension travel and compliance compared to standard leaf springs,
but at a price; coils at all four wheels increase body roll, plus they induce excessive lift while climbing, and excessive dive during
down-hills. The X2 uses either coil springs (TJ) or Superlift's new progressive rate coilovers (YJ, optional for TJ) in conjunction
with 4-link long arms on the front suspension, while our unique leaf spring-over-axle design supports the rear. The end result is a
system that attains a never-before-achieved combination of stability, articulation, ride quality and control. It's not just a matter
of increasing suspension travel... the X2 properly controls this additional travel to provide the correct amount of vehicle weight
transfer at the right time, resulting in stable, predictable handling characteristics on any type of terrain.

Rockrunner™ Long-Arm 4-Links
(1)
Arms' profile provides exceptional clearance and full lock-to-lock steering
(2)
All 4 arms feature swivel-link ends, and steel-encased rubber bushings at certain link mounting points for optimal
bind-free articulation, vibration dampening, service life and noise-free operation.
(3)
Link arms bolt directly to the stock TJ axle housing. Bolt-on brackets (shown) used on stock YJ axle. Weld-on brackets
available for all popular front axle housing upgrades
*
Arms' design and flat operating angle create ideal weight transfer characteristics and alignment geometry
*
Made of 0.188" wall DOM tubing (lowers 2" OD; uppers 1.5" OD)
*
Longer optional female swivel ends for front arms offer wheelbase increases in 1", 2" and 3" increments
-
2-Piece Skid Pan
-
With most suppliers, providing access for routing drivetrain maintenance and adequate room for exhaust routing is not a
consideration; not so with the X2. Drop the full-width, full-length primary pan to access U-joints, shifter linkage, even
transfer case removal, and the X2's inner pan remains to support the transmission. The rear ends of the 4-link arms remain
anchored to the frame rails.
(4)
Primary (bottom) pan constructed of 0.25" plate steel and secured with flush-mounted fasteners
(5)
Inner pan constructed of 3/16" plate steel
*
High-clearance, tight profile
*
eXtreme clearance Flat Pan option available; requires high-pinion diffs, body lift and/or tranney tunnel modification
-
Rear Springs
-
Specifically designed for this spring-over-axle application, the functionality of the X2 rear leaf suspension assembly is
light-years ahead of a common "spring flip." Combined, these features offer the ultimate in ride quality, durability, quiet
operation, wrap-up prevention and controlled articulation.
(6)
Triple military-wrap main leaf eyes with factory type, steel encased rubber bushings
(7)
Extra long (7") spring-to-axle pads
(8)
U-bolt plates with integrated compression travel-stop brackets
(9)
eXtreme travel spring shackles made of 0.25" plate steel
*
9-leaf design with bolt-type spring clips
*
Tapered leafs with anti-friction insulators; each leaf is shot-peened and pre-set
-
Other Primary Features
(10)
Reservoir gas monotube coilovers (shown) feature Black Diamond's revolutionary progressive rate springs to improve
ride quality and reduce lift force when climbing obstacles. Our progressive rate coil operates noise-free; not so
with dual-coil designs
*
This same basic coilover conversion is available for the TJ or retain the TJ's standard coil/shock design
(11)
Dropped pitman arm, track bar bracket, brace and adjustable track bar provide ideal steering geometry. Works with
tie-rod in stock location or "flipped"
(12)
Compatible with stock diff cover or use with optional Superlift eXtreme Ring diff cover protectors
*
Black Diamond SS series monotube gas rear shocks
*
Includes front / rear Kevlar reinforced, braided stainless steel brake hoses
-
Optional Torque Fork
-
Torque Fork's unique "triple axis" design controls wrap-up throughout the entire suspension travel cycle without sacrificing
articulation. The Fork is suggested for vehicles running 37" or taller tires and/or for rigs with high horsepower, high torque
engines. Fits TJ, YJ, CJ, Scout, early Bronco and older Toyota FJ series; all must have springs on top of rear axle
(13)
The Forks' front (skid pan mounted) shackle allows a slight amount of fore / aft movement as the suspension compresses and extends
(14)
Swivel end further promotes bind-free articulation
(15)
The rear, axle-mounted shackle allows a slight amount of pinion movement before locking-out axle wrap
(16)
Adjustable main beam enables you to perfectly set the assembly's geometry for your particular vehicle
